Everyone is invited to attend our very 1st Vernal Utah POW-MIA balloon launch on Memorial Day 2009.
We are very excited to make this event happen, and bring awareness to the plight of those still missing
and unaccounted for and held prisoner of war.
At 1pm on the Vernal courthouse grounds at the Veterans Memorial the ceremonies will take place.
There will be a POW-MIA table ceremony taking place.

8th Annual Armed Forces Sunday is this Sunday. In addition to honoring all veterans and active duty personnel there is also a candle with a black ribbon representing all MIA/PO W's.

The Ex-POW Chapter is very small, but if you are in touch with families and have a representative that would like to light the MIA/POW Candle, let me know.

Texarkana's annual POW/MIA Vigil

This will be my third year attending the vigil. The first year, 2003, I had learned a couple of weeks prior that Lt. Rittichier's remains had been positively ID's. This was brought up and I talked with people about Jack during the vigil. This year, some of the members are wanting me to get up and talk, I am assuming about my involvement in the POW/MIA issue and the recent IDs of the Texans who were MIA, and the funerals of Major Baker and Colonel Lewis. Rolling Thunder XVII, Memorial Day Weekend

For those who don't know, this is a motorcycle run held every year in Washington D.C. to bring attention to the POW MIA issue. If you don't ride, come and watch, we usually get around 500,000 in D.C. If you can't come, check out CSPAN's schedule, they usually give it decent coverage.

Hi everyone.

Just wanted you to know we are getting ready for our 7th annual launch in Wisconsin. This year by far will be our biggest challenge to date. We are trying to raise $2000+ to make it all happen.

We will attempt to launch 10,000 balloons this year on Memorial Day 2004.

I have been given a fantastic cargo chute from the 440th military wing.

We will use appx. 20 helium tanks-100+...

There is a repatriation ceremony Monday for some MIA remains brought back home to American soil.It will be at Hickam AFB. Very touching they are
