Hello,
I have been studying this issue for years. The most recent account I have seen regarding live MIA's was an article concerning William Milliner. www.americanfreepress.net/Issue_27_AFP_2008.pdf. Go to page 11. I, as many do, still believe there are still men in Laos or Vietnam alive. Milliner would be 57 today.
Is it possible that over years the US itself has conducted secret rescue missions to find these men? I know of the Bo Gritz and other private missions, but what...

On 2-3-2009 Representative Peter T. King (R-NY3) introduced H. Res 111 to establish a select committee on Pow and MIA Affairs. There are 54 cosponsors at this time.

You may recall that last year the same bill sat in committee in the House Of Representatives, and was left to expire when the 110 Congress adjurned.

We can not let that happen again this year. Everyone contact your Congressman/woman ask them to be a cosponsor, and to vote for passage of this bill. Do it more...

It is a POW/MIA coin with the quote "A promise made is a promise kept" on the back.
As far as I know the front is the POW/MIA logo.
This coin is for a Vietnam Vet who is a friend of mine. He lost is coin while on a motorcycle rally ride. It was given to him when his closest friend from the war passed away. Yes, the man who passed away several years ago was a POW. Any help on where I can find another coin like this would be welcomed.

Help I was informed that the POW-MIA Flag is now a Federal flag, and that when it is in a parade that it goes next to the U.S. flag and before the states flag. Is this true. I can not find any info on this.

I am researching my husband's family tree, and his grandfather was a POW in Korea. I need to know where I can find records for POWs that were released and didn't die while in captivity. We do not know what unit or company he was in-I'm not even sure of the branch.

This may be a bit off the normal topic, but these guys deserve a proper burial, too. Twenty-two men of the 5th U.S. Colored Cavalry have been listed as MIA since they were attacked by guerrillas 25 January 1865. Contemperary accounts state the loss of at least this many men. A later newspaper article states nineteen were buried in a "long mass grave". The source of the last article was the militia Captain who led citizens in the burial.
